You know, this place wouldn't be half bad if we were stuck on a cruise of the Med rather than the northern Atlantic with freezing cold weather. I can't even be pleased with the occupation, though less dangerous, it is certainly more demeaning than the last.

Oh dear. I've been so busy the past week, that I could hardly find the time to write in here. As I'm certain everyone's aware, my birthday last Sunday was lovely, and the celebration was more than enjoyable. Thank you again to all of you who attended, the gifts were lovely. I have, of course, written proper thank you notes, but I thought I might reiterate my appreciation.
Granted, the thing that has kept me the busiest, of course, is our wedding. With the need to push it up toward the first of December, so many changes need to be made. The dressmaker's been at Kirby Hall a few times, though everything seems to be coming all quite well. Everyone has been so incredibly accommodating, and understanding.

Are you going to be in St. Mungo's this afternoon? I though I might bring you and your mother lunch, I can't imagine that the food at St. Mungo's is remotely palatable.

Sebastian and I are staying in the Diagon house for the week with Father. Mother will be handing Kirby Hall whilst we're down here, as Father wasn't scheduled to move back home until the next week, but I imagine she won't mind terribly. I know she's been working steadily on redecorating the South Wing.

Summer seems so very far away sometimes, but when I look at all of the things that still need to be done, I'm quite pleased, really. Granted, Christopher is a complete treasure, and I just do not know what we would do without his insight but it is so very hard work. I'm surprised that I have time for anything else.

Reg! I found the best bridesmaids dresses this afternoon! They're going to suit the colour scheme so beautifully.
Speaking of, do you know if the usher list is finalised yet? I need to make sure we have enough for all of the girls. Mum thinks I should really make an exception for family, but it's protocol, isn't it? Besides, some people are just too old to be 'maids'.

Ball this weekend! It'll be brilliant.
I'm quite looking forward to the occasion actually. I've decided on this lovely blue dress I saw in the shops a few weeks ago. I was considering emerald, but the blue does make my eyes pop quite lovely, and I do think it's quite flattering. It moves quite well so it'll be prefect for dancing as well.
